Adopter Detailed Breakdown

CT Trailhead Adopters can participate through donations for the annual upkeep of CT trailheads. Trailheads are separated into 2 categories

 

  • Major Trailhead: Heavy visitation requires 15 to 30 hrs per month for litter removal. Annual replacement of Plexiglas and gravel on parking surface may be Range: $1000 – $4,000
    • North Chickamauga Creek Gorge State Natural Area (Soddy Daisy)
    • Laurel-Snow State Natural Area (Dayton)
    • Year 1 and 2: $1000 minimum — $4000 annual funding goal
    • Year 3 and following years: $1000 or less

 

  • All Other Trailheads (Backcountry and Basic): Light-Medium visitation requires 4 to 8 hrs per month for litter removal. Annual replacement of Plexiglas and gravel on parking surface may be necessary. Range: $330 – $1,000
    • Year 1 and 2: $330 minimum — $1000 annual funding goal
    • Year 3 and following years: $330 or less.

 

CT Trailhead Builders sponsorship covers costs for gravel base, parking bumpers, and retaining walls or barriers. Range: $3,000 to $8,000.

 

**Contributions will be managed by the Friends of the Cumberland Trail and are tax-deductible.**
